In accordance with article 2082
of the civil code (book V, title II, chapter I, section I) defining
entrepreneur who carries on an economic activity professionally
organized in order of production or exchange of goods or services.
As
a result the firm legal point of view, is an economic activity
professionally organized in order of production or exchange of goods or
services.
Around the 16th century appear the first citations of the term entrepreneur. With this name referred to the captain that he would hire to serve troops and powerful principles. Only
in the 18th century the definition of entrepreneur takes on the modern
characteristics (in the agricultural field, landowner in manufacturing
who produced goods to be distributed in public the impresario who has
built infrastructures).
In
1803 in his Traité d ' économie politique Jean Baptist Say describes
the central role of the entrepreneur in the world of capital,
production, trade and consumption and in 1912 Joseph Schumpeter oversaw
the function of innovation in the inputs made by the figure of the
entrepreneur.
Nowadays and in accordance with:
· can be entrepreneur is a natural person and a legal entity;
· for
economic activity means any activity intended to use the inputs
(capital, labor and raw materials) to get a product (good or service):
· the goods and services which are the product of the company are only those who have an economic value; the goods or services accruing from business without an exchange value are not "product" in the economic sense;
· the
consumer market is crucial because we can talk about entrepreneurship:
entrepreneurial activity must be designed to meet the needs of others;
· the entrepreneur is the business risk — the risk of profit or loss of the activity undertaken.
The
company has a goal (production or exchange of goods or services) and,
economically, it must be conducted with criteria providing for adequate
coverage of expenses with revenues.
So far the rules and the rules (and some historical notes).
It is possible to say that we're all entrepreneurs
Whatever our work or what we want to do, unless you like it only run under orders that we receive; whether
we are holding company or manager or paintings or even simple employees
or workers, if we have responsibilities and aspirations we are
entrepreneurs, although an undertaking constituted only by ourselves.
An entrepreneur is someone who works in a way totally different from how they work the contestants. An entrepreneur is someone who sees things that others don't see. The entrepreneur is a visionary.
Passion, energy, enthusiasm and drive that's what distinguishes the successful entrepreneur from everyone else.
A
contractor enters an industry by innovating in the sense of producing
or distributing differently, adding, subtracting or improving features
and benefits to the product or service as competitors.
Someone said: "If you're not in business for money, for fun or for both what are you doing there?". In fact most of the successful entrepreneurs love their work.
An ancient Japanese proverb reads: "the vision without action is daydream but act without vision is a nightmare."
The question then must be answered and deeply examine is why? Why we decided to become entrepreneurs. What has pushed us to undertake a risky and difficult job, which requires our full attention, which takes all our time.
Why we decide to undertake can be various:
· We no longer have the "fixed place";
· We're tired of working for others and we want to be independent;
· We won the lottery or received an inheritance;
· by chance;
· There is a family business;
· We want to transform our interest, hobby, company;
· We have a good idea.
There are so many reasons why we have decided to take, but we have to go deeper and discover the true our goals:
· We want to do something for others;
· the field in which we operate is outdated and we see things differently;
· We want to improve the economic conditions of our family;
· Let us more satisfaction in work;
· It's something we've always dreamed of.
Having always present our goals will help us overcome difficult moments.
Whatever
the reason and objectives to which we started, the real reason is that
we have a certain talent or aptitude for the operative part of the
enterprise: management, marketing, production. Proficiency
in these areas is of course important to begin with, but the fact is
that the company's operational area is only part that constitutes the
life cycle of the enterprise itself. This generally life cycle consists of four phases:
· start
up is the real beginning of the enterprise, or it can be the
introduction of a new product or service, or a new location in another
country, or the introduction of a new Department or function;
· growth is the period in which the company develops through sales, staffing, organization, structure, research;
· continuity is the consolidation phase of the enterprise;
· reorganization
is the most critical phase: change the market, changing laws, changes
the relationship with human resources, our product or service becomes
obsolete.
Understand
and overcome the life-cycle stages of the enterprise assumes possess
other skills which are not operational, but only those you need to have
expertise in logistics, distribution, marketing, human resource
management. The synergy between these skills will allow us to grow and achieve their objectives.
