Bakers in Friuli-Venezia Giulia
Unlimited support from small businesses that produce bread, to face foreign competition and the economic crisis: Joint notice. Signed
by Unione regionale bakers and white art workers of Friuli Venezia
Giulia and the regional representations of Fai Cisl, Uila Cgil and Uil
Flai
For
450 companies employing 2,500 people for the production of bread and
1,500 others in related industries (from raw material sales) was entered
into an arrangement which has the following objectives: the
establishment of a bilateral Institution for the protection and
development of the sector; the creation of a regional contract shared platform that integrates the national contract work; the establishment of a regional observatory which propose improvements for entrepreneurship.
The
reason for this arrangement, called "common Opinion", is quickly told:
the crisis and the competition resulted in a reduction of 24% of
companies in the sector and whether or not you run for cover the
bleeding could continue. The competition is
mainly due to the foreign origin of frozen bread which is sold in
supermarkets which make cooking and sell it as hot as it was just baked.
The
Union's President, Edwin Jerian regional bakers, during the
presentation of the notice said "it is a historical document because it
combines for the first time, the representative bodies of employers and
those of employees of enterprises, with the aim of presenting to the
Government the Friuli Venezia Giulia the concern of all operators for
the crisis in our industry".
For
its part the local councillor regionale alle attività produttive,
Federica Seganti, said that the region is on the side of the bakers, so
much so that within the reform bill, craft was inserted a discipline
appropriate to the baking industry. A clear distinction should be between frozen bread and fresh bread in order "to preserve and enhance the work of bakers for
defend a product that is an integral part and healthy of our daily lives ".
Another of the aims of the common understanding is that of finding a common path to program training initiatives.
In
short, a step forward to help that group of undertakings which, as War
of the UIL, Margeret "continue among many difficulties to produce fresh
bread".
